JM Trivia #1!

I love JM trivia and from now on I will be posting trivia questions every so often. This is one I got in my mailbox recently:
"Hi,

I was wondering if you know what the do do doritos ein kelokeinu song is called and who sings it? If you dont know can you post the question on your blog.

THanks"
It took me a little time to understand what he was referring to but I do know the answer. Do you?

UPDATE: Yehuda instantly got the answer right so I will throw another trivia and hopefully this will keep going for a day or two. If you have have other good trivia you may email me and I will try to eventually post it .
Here we go: A song with only one word. Singer and the name of the song?
Answer: Ruach, from the one and only Shlomo Carlebach. I couldn't find a link to a preview of this song.. anyone has it?

Chaim Dovid: Yamamai

MBDs shabbos kodesh is pretty close lol. (i think it was last album?)

Me,

I had another song in mind, actually. And Yamamai is not really a word, just more of a niggun in my opinion, but good job nevertheless.

Dowy

That's not the one. The one word song I'm referring to is older, much older.

hm..im not sure i know that song, the preview is too short...but the second part of it sounds like the first part of 'yogel yogel libi'...

Yaakov

Tks for the link. Sounds like it's a great album - I never heard "Al Tiro" and "Eshaleich", and the sound is great. In my buying list.

Dowy

Which song are you referring to? But I can assure you Carlebach didn't copy that song..!

heh, no problem
once I figured out what album it was on, it was easy to Google it.

I don't own many Carlebach stuff, but it's just about the only thing my brother in law listens to.

Dowy said...

of course - i mean Shlomos own...it starts va'ani berov chasdechoh, the chorus goes yogel yogel libi...
I mean he has so many songs, some of them sound similar..

Yaakov

I actually looked for it in the web but it always took me to a concert called ruach, from carlebach. JM is still hard to search on google..

Dowy
